Tallywise Terms of Use

Effective date: 1 October 2026 (Tallywise 1.0.0)

These terms apply to the Tallywise app ("the app") for Windows and Android, published by Technocrux ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to them.

1. Licence

When you buy Tallywise from the Microsoft Store or Google Play, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on your own devices, as allowed by that store's rules. You may not copy, resell, rent, modify or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

2. Price and refunds

Tallywise is a one-time purchase. There are no subscriptions, ads or in-app purchases. Payments and refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its refund policy. We cannot issue refunds directly.

3. Not financial advice

Tallywise is a tool for recording and organising your own money: spending, budgets, bills, goals, loans and amounts between you and other people.

The calculations, including loan repayment schedules, are estimates based on what you enter.
Your lender's figures may differ because of fees, rounding or rate changes.
Nothing in the app is financial, tax, legal or investment advice.
Check important decisions with your bank or a qualified adviser.

4. Your data is your responsibility

All your data stays on your device. We have no copy of it and cannot recover it.

If you lose or reset your device, uninstall the app, or forget your app PIN or backup password, your data may be lost unless you made a backup and still know its password.
Backup and export files are stored wherever you choose. Keeping them safe is up to you.
Reminders (notifications) depend on your device's settings and may not appear if notifications are blocked, the device is off, or (on Windows) the app is not opened.

5. Acceptable use

Use the app only for lawful personal record-keeping. Do not use it to harass people, for example through the reminder messages you share.

6. Updates and availability

We may release updates that add, change or remove features. We aim to keep the app working on current versions of Windows and Android, but we cannot guarantee it will work on every device or forever.

7. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted operation.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Technocrux is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, money or profits, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always on the app's store listing and website. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Technocrux is registered, unless the consumer law of your country says otherwise.
